California Pizza Kitchen Marks 40th Anniversary with Promotions and Menu Classics
California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) is commemorating its 40th anniversary by launching a series of engaging promotions, reintroducing beloved menu items, and partnering with actress Busy Philipps, who was once a hostess at the restaurant chain.
A Nod to the Past: Menu Reintroductions
To celebrate its milestone anniversary, CPK is bringing back select dishes that have delighted customers over the years. This revival is based on the preferences of guests, team members, and company founders Rick Rosenfield and Larry Flax, along with Executive Chef Paul Pszybylski.
These seasonal offerings, available until May 19, include:
- Rosemary Roasted Potato & Grilled Chicken Pizza: Featuring a lemon cream sauce, grilled chicken, roasted Yukon gold potatoes, and a mix of mozzarella and Parmesan, topped with fresh rosemary and wild Greek oregano.
- Chicken Milanese: A panko-crusted chicken breast served with arugula, housemade checca, and Parmesan, with an option for tomato basil sauce.
- Waldorf Chicken Salad: A combination of field greens, grilled chicken, red grapes, Granny Smith apples, celery, candied walnuts, and Gorgonzola, all topped with a choice of Dijon balsamic vinaigrette or blue cheese dressing.
- Tortilla Spring Rolls: Hand-rolled flour tortillas filled with Baja Chicken, Thai Chicken, or Mediterranean ingredients and baked in CPK’s pizza oven.
A Celebrity Collaboration
Busy Philipps, who began her journey with CPK as a hostess during high school in Arizona, expressed her excitement about working with the brand again. Reflecting on her time and connection to the restaurant, she stated, “I’ve been a huge fan of CPK ever since I worked there as a hostess back in the day, so of course I was thrilled to help them celebrate this incredible anniversary.” She emphasized the importance of CPK’s legacy, noting that its commitment to flavorful creations and memorable experiences ensures its place in the hearts of diners across generations.

In conjunction with these menu offerings, CPK is also reviving its popular Thank You Card promotion, running through May 11.
