Murrieta Police Department Seeks Owner of Found Pet Headstone
Authorities from the Murrieta Police Department in Southern California are making an effort to return a headstone discovered during a recent cleanup operation. The marker, engraved with the names of three beloved pets—Wiggles, Tuffy, and Sassy—was found in an encampment area on March 7, 2025.
“Did you know Wiggles, Tuffy, or Sassy? I’m sure the owner of these pets intended to remember them,” the Murrieta Police Department stated in a recent social media post.
Efforts to Locate the Owner
The police department believes that the headstone may have been taken from either Murrieta or Temecula and is eager to reunite it with its rightful owner. “We really would like to get it back to the owner,” the post added, highlighting the importance of the sentimental value attached to the marker.
If anyone has information regarding the ownership of the headstone, they are encouraged to reach out to Sergeant Schmidt via email at ms******@mu********.gov.
