Family members, colleagues from the ABC sitcom Abbott Elementary, and sorority sisters gathered to celebrate Ralph’s achievement. Notable attendees included Loretta Devine, Ralph’s costar from Dreamgirls, who joined in honoring her legacy.
Reflecting on the event, Ralph shared her surprise at the turnout, stating, “The fire department had to give them an okay to be out there in the street the way they were! My sorority (sisters), a sea of red, the Deltas were out!”

Sheryl Lee Ralph is best known for her role as Deena Jones in Broadway’s Dreamgirls, a performance that earned her a Tony nomination.
