Weekend Weather Outlook: Southern California to Experience Cooler Temperatures and Possible Rain
Current Conditions
Southern California is enjoying predominantly warm and clear weather at the beginning of the week, with temperatures in Downtown Los Angeles reaching a pleasant high of 75 degrees, according to KTLA Meteorologist Henry DiCarlo.
Mid-Week Forecast
As we move into Wednesday and Thursday, a cooling trend is anticipated. The National Weather Service (NWS) notes an increase in low clouds and fog in the area.
DiCarlo highlighted the potential for changing weather conditions, stating, “Look at Thursday. We have a storm to the north and it’s throwing some moisture back our way. So, it does give us a chance of maybe Wednesday evening picking up some dark clouds. Maybe getting a little light sprinkle here or there on Thursday, but we are not taking a direct hit.”
Weekend Prognosis
Looking ahead to the weekend, meteorologists predict cooler and cloudier weather. A marine layer is likely to affect coastal areas, while there may be a chance of rain further inland.
“There’s that shot of some rain for the Inland Empire. Looks like that system for the weekend, originally forecast for Saturday night, is now looking like it’s a little bit stalled, and as a result, we’ll push that rain back, which means a little bit more for your Sunday,” DiCarlo added.
Further details on the timing and quantity of rainfall will become clearer as the week progresses.
Looking Ahead
By Monday, conditions are expected to dry up slightly, with temperatures on the rise again as the weather system moves eastward.
