Law enforcement officers arrested a 48-year-old man, identified as Francisco Yzarraraz, following a search of his home in Victorville, California. The arrest was made after authorities discovered a cache of illegal items, including a ghost gun, tactical gear, and suspected narcotics.

On March 13, 2023, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at Yzarraraz’s residence located in the 12900 block of Claremore Street. Yzarraraz, a convicted felon, is legally barred from possessing firearms, ammunition, and body armor.

Items Discovered During Search

During the operation, investigators found:

  • A loaded homemade Polymer 80 pistol
  • Multiple ammunition magazines
  • Tactical body armor
  • Miscellaneous ammunition
  • Numerous individually packed bags containing suspected methamphetamine
  • Digital scales with white powder residue
  • A significant quantity of stolen mail and personal identification documents not belonging to Yzarraraz

Charges Filed Against Yzarraraz

As a result of the evidence collected at the scene, Yzarraraz was subsequently arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center. He faces multiple charges, including:

  • Possession of a controlled substance while armed
  • Possession of a controlled substance for sale
  • Felon in possession of a firearm
  • Prohibited from owning ammunition
  • Felon in possession of body armor

It was noted that Yzarraraz has a prior conviction for robbery, which further complicates his legal situation.
