In a proactive measure to combat child exploitation, deputies from the Perris Station in Riverside County initiated an undercover operation targeting suspected child predators. The investigation took place in April 2025, during which deputies posed as a 13-year-old girl in online communications.

Details of the Arrest

Law enforcement identified the suspect as Ryan Hagen, a 45-year-old resident of Anaheim. Over a series of weeks, Hagen engaged in numerous provocative discussions, during which he solicited explicit photographs and expressed a desire to engage in various sexual acts with the purported minor.

Confrontation and Evidence Collection

On April 16, 2025, following arrangements for an in-person meeting, deputies located Hagen in Redlands and arrested him. In addition to his apprehension, several communication devices were seized as part of the evidence-gathering process.

Charges and Legal Proceedings

Hagen faces multiple charges related to his online conduct, including:

• Arranging to meet a minor with the intent of engaging in sexual acts
• Contacting a minor with the intent to commit sexual acts
• Exhibiting and distributing harmful materials to a minor
• Attempting lewd acts with a minor

He is currently being held on a bail amount of $55,000.
