Bakery Owner Injured in Violent Burglary in Studio City
Studio City, CA — A local bakery owner was assaulted during a burglary when he confronted three masked intruders in his shop early Wednesday morning.

The owner of Sweet Lily Bakery, Thibaut Leymarie, was alone in the establishment on Cahuenga Boulevard at around 4:17 AM when the break-in occurred. Surveillance footage revealed that the suspects, dressed in all black, forcefully entered the shop, one armed with a metal pole.
Confrontation Details
Upon noticing the burglars in the kitchen, Leymarie shouted, “Get out of here!” This alarm prompted the three men to tackle him and pursue him through the bakery, eventually pushing him out the front door. One of the assailants then attacked him with the metal pole, leading to minor injuries including a hurt eye, arm, and back.
Aftermath of the Assault
The suspects escaped with a stolen computer and fled the scene in a dark-colored Mercedes-Benz sedan. Unfortunately, by the time the police arrived, the burglars had already vanished.
In the wake of the incident, Leymarie expressed his confusion regarding the motive behind the burglary, stating, “I don’t know why [they came here] because there is nothing to steal.” He also noted the additional concern among his staff regarding potential future incidents.
