Los Angeles Prepares for Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show Amid Nationwide Tour

by LA Highlights Contributor

Los Angeles is set to host the acclaimed “Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show” as part of its 2025 tour. The show, featuring “RuPaul’s Drag Race” stars Jinkx Monsoon and BenDeLaCreme, aims to provide a festive and inclusive experience for audiences. Despite challenges in securing venues in certain states due to political climates, the duo remains committed to bringing their performance to diverse audiences. The Los Angeles stop is anticipated to be a highlight of the tour, celebrating community and creativity.

The 2025 edition of the “Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show” marks the seventh year of this festive tradition. Known for its blend of camp, comedy, and heartfelt moments, the show has become a staple of holiday entertainment. Co-written and co-created by Monsoon and DeLa, with DeLa also directing and producing through her company, BenDeLaCreme Presents, the production promises a brand-new experience for audiences. The duo describes the show as a “traveling safe space” that brings together marginalized communities, offering humor and community in trying times.

The tour spans numerous North American cities, including Boston, Toronto, Chicago, and Seattle, with performances running from November 12 to December 30. Pre-sale tickets are available, with general tickets on sale beginning July 11. The Los Angeles performance is scheduled for December 14 at the iconic Dolby Theatre, a venue known for hosting high-profile events such as the Academy Awards. This stop is particularly significant, as it not only showcases the duo’s commitment to bringing their performance to diverse audiences but also celebrates community and creativity in a city known for its vibrant LGBTQ+ culture.

Despite the show’s popularity, the 2025 tour has faced challenges in securing venues in certain states due to political climates and rising anti-LGBTQ legislation. The duo has deliberately excluded states like Florida, Texas, and Tennessee from their tour due to concerns over state-supported theater venues’ reluctance to book them. DeLa emphasized the need to balance performer safety and outreach, stating, “I’m also responsible for the safety of this cast and crew.”

Jinkx Monsoon, who has recently earned acclaim for her Broadway performances, including a lead role in “Oh, Mary!” starting August 4, 2025, continues to use her platform to advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and representation. BenDeLaCreme, equally committed to the cause, brings her unique blend of humor and heart to the production, ensuring that the show resonates with audiences from all walks of life.

As the holiday season approaches, the “Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show” offers a timely reminder of the power of art to unite and uplift. The Los Angeles performance is expected to draw large crowds, eager to experience the duo’s signature mix of satire, song, and celebration. In a year marked by political and social challenges, the show stands as a beacon of joy and inclusivity, inviting everyone to partake in the festive spirit.
