Street Food Cinema Kicks Off Its 2025 Season in Los Angeles

The highly anticipated Street Food Cinema is set to return to Los Angeles for its 14th season, bringing together outdoor movie enthusiasts from May 10 through October 11, 2025. This annual event merges film screenings with live music, featuring local food trucks that add flavor to the experience at various locations around the city.

Season Opening Event

The kick-off event is scheduled for May 10 at The Autry Museum of the American West, featuring a screening of the popular musical film Wicked. Attendees can look forward to themed photo opportunities, a live performance, and an assortment of food trucks, along with cocktails inspired by the film.

Film Lineup Highlights

This season’s schedule diversifies with a range of films, including recent hits, beloved classics, and notable anniversary celebrations. Highlights from May include:

  • May 10: Wicked – The Autry Museum, Griffith Park
  • May 17: Anora – The Autry Museum, Griffith Park
  • May 24: 9 to 5 (45th Anniversary, Dolly Parton Night) – The Autry Museum, Griffith Park
  • May 25: The Royal Tenenbaums – The Equestrian Center, Burbank
  • May 31: To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar (30th Anniversary, Pride Month Kickoff) – Los Angeles State Historic Park, DTLA

Pride Month Celebrations

June will commemorate Pride Month with a special 30th-anniversary showing of To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar. Additionally, a partnership with Disney’s official fan club, D23, will celebrate the 30th anniversary of A Goofy Movie. Other screenings include:

  • June 7: The Goonies (40th Anniversary) – The Equestrian Center, Burbank
  • June 14: A Goofy Movie (30th Anniversary, in partnership with D23) – The Autry Museum, Griffith Park
  • June 28: Sonic the Hedgehog – The Autry Museum, Griffith Park

Upcoming Special Events

Prior to the season opening, there will be a 21+ “Halfway to Halloween” event that features screenings of classic horror films, along with carnival games and themed cocktails to get attendees in the festive spirit.
