WASHINGTON, D.C., June 14, 2025 — After a six-year hiatus, the iconic Vans Warped Tour made a triumphant return, launching its 30th-anniversary celebration in the nation’s capital. The two-day festival, held at the Festival Grounds at RFK Campus, featured a diverse lineup of over 90 acts, blending punk, rock, EDM, hip-hop, and indie genres, reflecting the tour’s evolution over the years.
Fans from across the country gathered to witness performances from both legacy bands and emerging artists. Notable acts included Avril Lavigne, Pennywise, Less Than Jake, The Aquabats!, and The Suicide Machines, offering a nostalgic experience for longtime attendees. Simultaneously, newer bands like Angel Du$t, Drain, Fever 333, Koyo, and Scowl showcased the tour’s commitment to embracing contemporary punk scenes.
The tour’s founder, Kevin Lyman, emphasized the event’s dedication to honoring its roots while embracing new musical directions. “I’ve always felt we need to pay homage to the past, but we’re looking to the future of the artists and the community,” Lyman stated.
The 2025 Warped Tour is structured as a series of destination festivals, with upcoming stops in Long Beach, California (July 26–27), and Orlando, Florida (November 15–16). Each location promises a unique lineup, with some bands performing at all three events, while others are exclusive to specific cities.
Tickets for the Long Beach and Orlando dates are available through official channels. Given the high demand and the D.C. event selling out, fans are encouraged to secure their passes promptly.
The return of the Warped Tour not only celebrates its storied past but also signals a renewed commitment to fostering diverse musical talent. As the tour continues, it aims to bridge generational gaps and offer a platform for both established and emerging artists in the punk and alternative music scenes.
